wr
associates were appointed to carry out a load study and test on the
electrical supplies to and within the production building of a Food
Preparation Company who as part of a major expansion programme are
requiring an extra 100kW of supply.
As a result of the study, proposals were put forward to provide
power factor equipment, together with some rationalisation, which
meant that the existing supply from a remote site transformer could be
retained and saving £20,000.00 on new cabling.
The
Client has since increased the amount of equipment in his warehouse,
but instead of his electricity usage being increased, due to the above
measures advised by wr associates usage had decreased considerably
which is not only financially agreeable, but also promotes good
environmental management.
Due
to a further expansion, increased power is required and details being
put forward for further upgrade of supplies.
