West House, Heath Robinson Museum 

Is one of the few old houses in Pinner still standing in its own grounds, now the Memorial Park.  There has been a house on the site for 500 years and was once the home of the grandson of Admiral Lord Nelson and Lady Hamilton.  The house and grounds were purchased by the people of Pinner after the Second World War and given in trust to the then Council as a war memorial to the dead of the two world wars.  A condition of the Trust was that the Pinner book of Remembrance should be kept there.

As a result of prolonged fund raising the House has been refurbished and remodelled to a Museum to display the works by Heath Robinson, incorporating a cafe/bistro, exhibition/conference areas on first floor and eventually offices on the new second floor.  wr associates designed and specified all the M&E services for the works to include, drainage, services for new kitchens, disabled lift, lighting (internal and external), heat recovery ventilation, solar pane/HW recovery, data communications, fire alarm, CCTV and security systems etc.
